We woke up to a little snow this morning and a little snow turned into a LOT of snow. Mike was already at work, but everything was closing down for the blizzard. He caught a bus home...or so he thought but ended up over a mile away. So I tried to get him and got the car stuck. Mike walked all the way home in a blizzard. When he arrived I was still trying to dig the car out. He had ice on his goatee and eye brows. It was a sad sight. So we had soup and then did the most logical thing. Got bundled up again and took the kids outside to enjoy the snow. It didn't take Avie long to decide she is a warm weather girl. Haven on the other hand nearly got lost in the drifts. We had a good time for about 7 minutes before it was too cold to enjoy any longer and we came inside for hot chocolate. Yay for snow days!

Updates!
Avie recently had her 15 month check up. She weighs 17 lbs and 9 oz. She is in the 3rd percentile. Which means she is tea tiny. But otherwise super healthy. She is saying many new words and has finally gotten the courage to go down the stairs all by herself by slowly climbing down backwards. Her favorite things lately include carrying around and loving on her dolls and irritating Haven. It is actually kind of impressive how good she has become at that.
She has also had a her first bowl of spaghetti and her first ice cream cone. Both of which she loved.
This past Saturday we took a family trip to the ZOO. Haven and Avie both loved it. Avie seemed pretty impressed with the birds. Haven really liked the Hyenas and the monkeys. Everyone was pretty exhausted when we left and Avie fell asleep as soon as we got her in the car.
