Progress on Haven's Bed!

Papa and Nana have moved the bed to our garage for painting. Last weekend the primer was painted on and this past weekend we started with the real painting. We have the first coat on and just need one more coat. Then we move it to Haven's room and assemble it! It is blue and white. We picked "deep space" for the shade of blue. Very fitting. It looks great. Here are some pictures.

The Weekend...

Saturday Shannon and Jillian came over. We had pizza and made some cinnimon rolls. Yes, even the boys helped...well Shannon helped. Mike mostly asked important questions like "are you sure you're doing that right?"

They turned out really good. Maybe next time we will let Haven help...

Fun at the Sand Box

We spent a little while at the sand box this weekend. This was Avie's first sand experience and she tasted it often. Each time she was disappointed to find it was not very good, but she liked to try it again and again anyway. Once she gave up on that she realized how fun it was to play in. Haven of course was running around like a mini mad man raking, digging, dumping and whatever else he could get away with. Enjoy the pictures!

Mike Started a New Job!

As many of you know Mike finished his degree in Directing and Screenwriting several months ago. He had been working for a great company (Crew Connection), but it was not exactly what he wanted to be doing and had little to do with his expertise. So Mike and Tiff were both praying for a job he would be more suited for. Well God provided.

Mike started his new job yesterday. He is the Media Specialist for Auraria Campus and is employed by the State of Colorado. He handles all areas of production for the campus as well as outside clients. He is very excited to start this job and I'm sure he will be happier doing what he went to school for. Of course the ultimate goal is to make movies, but this is certainly a step in the right direction for his career as well as our family. Praise God!
